The connection speed goes down to 0, but it's still connected with the network. I didn't really test bluetooth, but I already tranfered files and made phonecalls over bluetooth. How to Fix Any Wireless Adapter Problems in Windows 10 -
The only thing that happend was that while phonecalls the call got unstable sometimes and the people on the other end of the line spoke about some "alien voice", which is because of a connection, but it might also be the fact that my PC is standing on a wall and I'm sitting a bit away from it. It startet to happen about 2 weeks ago. I was able to have the expected speed fully stable before sometimes it connected to the 2,4GHz network instead of the 5GHz network, but I guess thats not the fault of the hardware and I was able to fix it by reconnecting a few times.
It worked fine for about 2 month before the problem started. When the problem started I installed a small Windows Update it was a patch for something, maybe even an appbut no big update. Also my father resetted the router and restored the old settings. But it can't be the router, since every other device in the same network has no issues.
I updated the driver for bluetooth and wifi after the problem occurred and it changed that the connection is more stable now, but still to unstable. No, I did install it by myself. I built the computer from the scratch and it had no wireless adapter before. The only thing I had was a USB, which was extremly slow No, I didn't.
The problem is that this is not my router, it's the router of my father. And to test it all of my family members would have to get out of the wifi for a while.
Yes, the router was rebooted.Atleast on the E replacing the realtek card with a better one is very easy, took me 5 minutes, almost like changing a ram or ssd module-easy. And considering how good the mobile ryzen based laptops are, I would not dismiss them outright as the benefits of Ryzen with integrated Vega graphics vs. Intel gives Intel a run for their money. The Vega 10 integrated graphics on the Ryzen 7 u with 4 cores really wipes the floor with intels Integrated graphics and for a lower cost.
Probably even cheaper in the states. I think Lenovo has already annouced they will be bringing this processor to their Yoga line, the economy models might take a bit longer.
Which will most likely include atleast the lowest power draining yet very capable Ryzen 7 u which has 8 cores 16threads and Radeon iGPU for TDP of 15w.
Yet the interesting part comes when you click "Tech Specs" on that page linked above. Interesting times indeed for Lenovo and AMD. All the better for end user to take their pick. Atleast now the are very good offerings from Lenovo for AMD based laptops as well.
I had the laptop serviced, they replaced the NIC and still the same issues I found a workaround that works for me Lenovo S : Dont use the Lenovo vantage suggested driver, it's faulty. I use the Not the suport tech that replaced my card at the Lenovo service center though I lost several hours and my laptop sor a week because of this View All.

After one hour or so, the download speed drops down to 0. I have closed ALL programs before the restart. There is no active programs running in the Task Manager.
This happens every time that I noticed the extremely slow internet speed and tried to restart. I have to force it to restart and to regain my internet speed back to 60 Mbps. So my routine every day is as follows: Start my PC fresh, then restart my PC again every one hour or so due to extremely slow internet speed. This happens at work, at home. I have confirmed that it is not due to Cox Internet. I believe it is this mysterious program that is running in the background that does not show up on the Task Manager.
It takes up almost all my internet bandwidth and choke my internet speed to almost zero. It is happening everyday, all day long. I have tried anti-virus by Kaspersky, Windows Defender, and Webroot. All have same results. Do anyone know how to find out what is this unidentified program running in the background that slows the internet speed to 0.
It is running in the background and preventing the PC from shutting down? Does something inside Windows 10 have anything to do with this? I have turned off "Allow downloads from Other PCs" in the setting. Nothing seemed to consume much to slow down my internet net speed to such extreme low speed.Okay I just want to report that since I wrote my last message I haven't experienced any Wifi drops.
I have been on 0. Not only with Lenovo, many brands have this problem. If you search this forum, you can find out easily that people were trying to get rid of Realtek cards since at least ! Do you really think that you got it resolved now with driver update?
You know the saying about trying the same thing again and again and waiting a different result, right? To be honest, I understand the dilemma. It is huge cost savings for Lenovo to use cheaper wifi card which almost works. I am sure most do not even know that there is even a card doing this job in their laptop. Ones who realize the problem can be thwarted by driver updates and endless support requests of return to factory settings, uninstall-reinstall drivers type actions.
Eventually, they will give up. Yes, I know So, yes, I can see the dilemma It is a tough situation. But it is what it is. I can't blame Lenovo for using poor quality laptop parts either.
Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160mhz adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems
Lenovo is trying to maximize profits. I just wish I was not antagonized anymore with driver updates which are suppose to fix the problem. I want to know what Lenovo thinks the root cause of the issue is? Can you make a technical explanation? I prefer not to have a text saying "we fixed it, update driver" which means nothing.
